Web Sites About US President Campaign 2008

My university diploma touched the role of mass media in US presidential campaign. That's why I decided to obzerve all 5 sights (proposed in the workshop for the dfj class by our lector).
To estimate these sites I gave prized them with Oscars.
So the first place I give to CITIZEN TUBE . It is the most fast and regular renewing site with easy navigation. the most interesting as for me - cause U don't need to read pages of text, U just choose the needed topic and watch video.
The second Oscar - for Scoop08. It'a a good platform of information and discussion about a great diversity of ideas that will shape this election.
The third Oscar is for Factcheck. The attention is attracted by interesting posts and having such topics as Fact of the Day, Special Reports and Ask FactCheck.
The fourth place I give to techpresident . As for me the navigarion is rather complex, lack of foto materials and total video absence. The content also needs to be reviewed.
And, finally, the last Oscar I give to watchblog. As trhe design of it is very borring, no foto and video, i didn't even want to stay there aand navigate.

pluses and minces of blogs

Blogs have their pluses and minces.

I don't think that in the nearest time I'd be active user bloguser, except in the needs of studying the means and possibilities of digital journalism. for me the blog as the means of comunication cannot substitute the real communication. From the other hand, blogs are the perfect means for those who want communicate, but don'nt have possibility to do it in realtime.

the other thing that I don't like about blogs that your personal data, photos etc. can be used by others. and comunicating with the dlogger U never know if it is the person that it pretends to be.

At the same time I appreciate the role of blogs in narrow topics - so that everyone can find the maximum information about topic he/she is interested in. of course extremely important that two or more bloggers can share information that the both interested in. And in this sense blogs has practical use for those who are searching information. for example if U are searching info about blogs and bloggers U can go to blog which talks about useful programms for bloggers. But in this case if for some reasons U couldn't check this information, U never know if it is credible one.

And, finally, from my experience of blogs reviewing, I found that about 60-70% of the blogs is a litter cause noth useful or interesting posted there. abd U are waisting the time going from one blog to another...
